April Happenings

April was a rather busy month for us.
We has a regional conference that we held at the BYU-I center. It was so great to hear from the leaders of the church. Because traffic is always horrible after things like this Mark and I decided to take a walk around campus.

One day we decided to take Mark's kite out for a spin. It took us a few locations until we found one with enough wind to keep the kite up in the air.

At the end of the month, a really good friend of mine was getting married in Utah so we took the opportunity to get out of town for the weekend.
Some of Mark's cousins from Texas happened to be in town the same weekend so we caught up with them for some lunch.
After lunch met up with one of my friends Erin around Temple square and enjoyed all the beautiful flowers that were blooming despite the rain.

Erin heard about a Japanese convention that was going on so we ventured over there. It took awhile to find where it was actually being held.  The picture below was while we were walking around trying to find the convention.

Mark and his brother Matt won these fans at the convention

After the convention Mark, Matt and I headed to Sandy, UT for Catherine's Reception.
Congratulations Catherine you looked beautiful!

Later that night we did some bowling. We ended up going two nights in a row.

On the way home from Utah we stopped in Pocatello to visit the cemetery where Mark's grandparents are buried.. We were also able to find his great-grandparents this time.
